Independent Tree Service, Inc. is proud to announce our very own Jordan Upcavage is running for President of the Florida chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture!
Jordan is the Vice President of Independent Tree Service Inc., a family owned production tree care business in Tampa, established 45 years ago. Before becoming an ISA Certified Arborist he started out in the arboriculture field mastering the art of using a rake, dragging brush, feeding the chipper, and learning to climb between the summers of high school and college.
Jordan earned a B.S. in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida and has competed in the Florida Chapter TCC. He is an advocate for continuing education, which he believes is the catalyst for advancing arboriculture from a labor-job to a career.
Since joining the company, Jordan has added 3 additional Certified Arborists to the business and has spoken at two Trees Florida conferences, most recently this year in Cape Coral. He is a past board member serving a 3-year term as the Consulting Arborist Representative and he is currently serving a 1-year term as an appointed At Large board member.
Jordan enjoys playing third base on the company softball team the “Tree Sluggers” and is an avid saltwater angler. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, boy/girl 6-year-old twins, and is excited to meet his third child due January 2024.
